Travellers pitch up on Preston park
A group of travellers have pitched up on Ashton Park in Preston.
Police were contacted at 3.10pm today to say five vehicles with caravans had entered the park from the Pedder’s Lane entrance.
Preston Council has also been made aware and an officer has been sent to speak to the families to establish their intentions, check welfare needs and to remind them to keep the area tidy.
Further action depends on how long the travellers intend to stay on the site.
