Visitors to Preston’s biggest bonfire have been urged to take public transport there if possible.

Preston Grasshoppers in Fulwood will again host a spectacular firework display and live entertainment. Gates will open from 6pm on Friday, with the fire lit around 7pm and the main fireworks display at 8pm.

Organisers have asked people to consider leaving their cars at home, or at least parking off-site

A club spokesman said: "We must stress that parking on site is extremely limited and the roads around the club are very congested because of ongoing building developments, so we strongly advise everyone to use public transport or park away from the club and walk."

They have also warned folk it is best to buy advance tickets in case the event is a sell-out. They cost £5.50 or £16.50 for two adults and two kids.
