Three women were hurt after a crash in a Lancashire village.

Police were called to Marine Drive in Hest Bank, near Morecambe, at about 2.45pm on October 15, after reports of a collision between a Hyundai and a Nissan Qashqai.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 75-year-old woman, suffered chest injuries, while the driver of the Nissan, a 75-year-old woman, suffered facial injuries.

A 73-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Nissan was treated for hip injuries and bruising.

All three women were taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary for treatment.

The road was closed for four hours while accident investigators attended.
