Road expected to be closed for 'several hours' after crash in Lostock Hall

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area due to a crash which has resulted in a road closure in Lostock Hall.

A road closure has been put in place following a crash on Coote Lane this afternoon (May 11).

Police are at the scene and have closed the road between Church Lane and School Lane.

The accident is being treated as "damage-only" but police expect the road to be closed for "several hours".

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "Coote Lane in Lostock Hall is currently closed between Church Lane and School Lane, following a collision earlier this afternoon.

"The road is expected to be closed for several hours so we are advising motorists to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible."
