Police have issued a warning about a road closure ahead of PNE’s Deepdale clash against Middlesbrough.
Lowthorpe Road in Preston, will be closed for the duration of the game which kicks off at noon on Sunday.
The road will also be shut for a period before and after North End’s first match of the season.
Police revealed the reason for the road closure was due to the number of coaches expected to travel down from the North East for the Championship clash. And Preston police released a statement saying they would try to re-open the road as quickly as possible.
It said: “We understand the inconvenience that this causes to residents and we are making every effort to find a suitable location for the coaches to go.
“We will of course make every effort to open the road as quickly as possible once it is safe to do so.”
