Person taken to hospital after Longridge crash

One person was transported to hospital via a road ambulance last night (October 7) after a road collision in Longridge.

At 7:35pm last night, fire services from Preston and Longridge were called out to an incident on Lower Road in Longridge.

Crews at the scene used holmatro cutters to release one casualty from a vehicle who was then transferred to hospital via a road ambulance.

Fire crews were at the scene for 25 minutes, until 8pm.

A spokesperson from the North West Ambulance service said: "We were called out at 19:38 last night to reports of two viechles that had been involved in a collision.

We sent a rapid response vehicle and two ambulances to the scene. One patient was transported to hospital and treated two walking wounded patients at the scene."
