Motorcyclist sustains 'serious' injuries after colliding with house in Preston

A Preston motorcyclist was taken to hospital with "very significant injuries" after they failed to negotiate a bend and collided with the wall of a house.

A Kawasaki motorbike travelling from Bowland Road to the junction of Grizedale Crescent failed to negotiate a bend and collided with the wall of a house at around 7.10pm yesterday (May 6).

The rider, a 33-year-old man from Preston, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital where he remains.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward to help with their enquires.

Sgt Phil Barber, of Lancashire Constabulary’s Tac Ops, said: "This collision has left a man with some very significant injuries and I would appeal to anyone who saw the collision itself or the manner in which the motorcycle was ridden prior to the incident itself to get in touch."
