Motorcyclist suffers 'serious' leg injuries after crashing into car in Accrington

A motorcyclist was rushed to hospital after crashing into a car that was turning onto a road in Accrington.

A Vauxhall Astra collided with a Yamaha motorbike as it was turning onto Burnley Road from Wedgewood Road, Accrington at around 5.10pm on Friday, June 19.

The motorcyclist suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.

Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, or has dascham footage of the incident, to come forward.

Sgt Lee Harris, from Lancashire’s Tactical Operations, said: "If you were in the area at the time and saw what happened or have dash cam footage of the incident, please speak to us as you could have important information to assist our investigation."
