Motorbike bursts into flames after crash in Penwortham

The biker was injured after his motorcycle crashed with a car in Liverpool Road at 3.50pm.
Just moments after the crash, the bike exploded into flames and fire crews were rushed to the scene.

Hide AdParamedics treated the biker at the roadside before taking him to Royal Preston Hospital by ambulance.
North West Ambulance Service said it was unable to comment on the status of his injuries, but Lancashire Police described the crash as a "minor injury collision".
An NWAS spokesman said: "We were called at 3.51pm to reports of a road traffic collision on Liverpool Road.
"We attended with an ambulance and advanced paramedic and a patient was taken to hospital, but details on the patient are very vague on the log I’m afraid."

Hide AdA fire service spokesman added: "Firefighters from Penwortham attended a fire involving a motorcycle on Liverpool Road, Penwortham at 3.54pm on Sunday (July 12).
"On arrival crews found the incident involved a road traffic collision between one car and one motorcycle.
"The motorcyclist was being treated by paramedics at the side of the road and the motorcycle was well alight.
"The fire was extinguished using a hose reel and crews were in attendance for approximately twenty minutes."
