A lane has been closed on the M6 after a trailer containing cows overturned, say police.
The incident happened at around 7.45am on Tuesday on the southbound carriageway between junctions 33 and 32 for the M55.
Traffic was held while Highways England transferred the cattle to another vehicle.
A spokesman for Highways England said: "A trailer containing five cows that was being pulled by a Land Rover overturned.
"The cows were all fine and taken away in another vehicle.
"Traffic was held in both directions for a short time while the cows were transferred."
"Some congestion remains while the vehicle was recovered from the carriageway."
Police say that no people or cows were injured during the incident.
