Highways bosses have agreed to take action over a new road junction branded dangerous – but frustrated drivers claim the moves will not go far enough.
Dozens have complained they are forced into danger every time they take to the slip road where Liverpool Road meets Golden Way in Penwortham.
The junction was altered in December, with both lanes now petering out to give way instead of one, in a bid to reduce the traffic and delays on Golden Way,
But since the changes there has been a series of crashes in the area, with many blaming the angle of the junction for creating a blind spot and people travelling into the city centre being forced to lane-hop.
Other people claim those using the slip road are routinely refusing to give way.
Lancashire County Council has insisted the junction is safe but has confirmed extra signs warning of the junction will soon be put up after concerns were raised.
