Debris was spread over the road following a collision in Buckshaw Village

The incident happened on Village Way close to the Harvester pub.

A blue Citroen was damaged in the crash which was reported just after 2.30pm

Fire crews and police attended the scene.

Coun Aidy Riggott posted about the incident on social media.

He said nobody had been badly hurt but advised drivers to avoid the area until the scene has been cleared.

Police said the road was blocked for a short time but had not been closed.

Initial reports suggested one man might have hit his head in the collision but police do not believe anybody has been seriously injured.

The driver of one vehicle was arrested on suspicion of drink driving
