Child rushed to hospital with 'multiple serious injuries' after M65 crash near Accrington

A black Honda CR-V collided with a barrier at the side of the M65 westbound between junctions 7 (Hyndburn Interchange) and 6 (Whitebirk Interchange) at around 8.40pm today (December 11).
A child, who was a rear seat passenger in the car, suffered multiple serious injuries and was rushed to Manchester Children’s Hospital for treatment.

Hide AdOfficers are now keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or has any footage of the incident.
Sgt Steve Hardman, of Lancashire Police's serious collision investigation unit, said: "A child has been left seriously injured as a result of the collision and we want to establish exactly what happened.
"We are keen to speak to any witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage which might show the circumstances leading up to the collision or the collision itself.
"Please get in touch if you can help."
