Bank holiday travel: Motorists warned of 7 miles of queues and 50-minute delays after M6 crash

All lanes are now open on the M6 northbound between junction 34, for Lancaster, and 35, for Carnforth, following recovery and clear up of debris from an earlier crash.

There are however approximately 50 mins of delays on the approach and seven miles of congestion back to junction 33.

Bank holiday travellers heading towards the Lake District are advised to allow extra time for their journey.

Traffic was initially stopped before two of the three lanes were opened. While the road is now fully open, delays remain.
