APPEAL: Fatal crash in Lancashire

A motorcyclist has died following a collision on a road in Ormskirk, say police.

Emergency services were called to County Road at 5pm on Wednesday April 18, after a bike – a Yamaha MT10 – and a Honda Civic collided, causing the rider to be thrown from the vehicle.

Police say he suffered multiple serious injuries and was taken to Aintree Hospital, where he later died.

They are now appealing for witnesses.

Sgt Finn Quainton, of Lancashire Constabulary’s Road Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of the man at this tragic time.

“We would ask anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.”
