The initial collision took place outside the Bellflower pub before midday, followed by a second collision nearby.
Due to the incidents, Preston Police took to Twitter to announce it had closed the road in both directions at 12:08 pm, advising residents to “[p]lease avoid the area and allow extra time for any travel.”
However, Police have now confirmed that the road reopned at 13:26 pm.
A spokesperson for Preston Police said: “We were alerted to a report of a collision between two cars on the A6 at Garstang, near to the Bellflower pub, at approximately 11.27am today.
“The collision partly blocked the road, causing slow traffic in the area, and there was then a second collision involving two cars nearby.
“No one was injured in the collisions but the A6 was blocked while the vehicles involved were removed.”
