New Hall Lane collision causes long delays

Fire crew were called in to free one person from a vehicle following  a road traffic accident on New Hall Lane, Preston.

Fire crews from Preston and Penwortham attended the scene, at the junction of New Hall Lane and Blackpool Road at around 9.15 on April 18.

They used hydraulic equipment to free the individual, whose injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

The accident involved a mini bus and a car.

One man, in his 40s, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital by ambulance. It is thought the injured man was in the car.

The road was closed for around two hours and re-opened at around 11.25am.
