Car flips after crash in Penwortham

Police were called to the scene in the early hours of Monday morning, after reports of a loud bang outside.

In a message on social media, police said: “A car had collided with another parked car and landed on its roof.

“The driver had fled the scene.

“We made our way to the area and after searching around the driver, a 28-year old man of no fixed address was found hiding nearby and arrested on suspicion of drink driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision and causing criminal damage.”
