Blackpool Tower is lighting up red, white and blue to show respect for the victims of the Paris terror attacks.

The six separate attacks took place last night and left more than 140 people dead, including 87 young people who were attending a rock concert at the Bataclan Music Hall.

Blackpool Tower, on the Promenade, is one of several famous monuments from around the world that is showing the colours of the French flag to show their solidarity with France as they deal with the aftermath of the devastating attacks.

The Syndey Opera House in Australia, the Calagary Tower in Canada, and the One World Trade Centre in Manhatten in New York also showed their support by lighting up red, white and blue.
