After a hair-raising journey from London that was plagued by mechanical problems, the pair finally rolled in to the resort at 11pm last night.

A relieved Evans tweeted: “We made it! Blackpool, we love you! Just the thirteen hours on the road. The same time it takes Matt to fly here from LA.”
