Three bikers involved in crash in Lostock Hall

A crash involving three motorbikes led to police closing Leyland Road in Lostock Hall this afternoon (August 27).

The accident happened at the traffic lights outside the Wishing Well pub, at the junction of Leyland Road and Brownedge Road, at around 1.50pm.

One biker came off his bike and was attended to by ambulance crews, but his injuries are said to be minor.

Police shut the road for around 45 minutes whilst paramedics treated the man and officers established what had happened.

Leyland Road reopened at around 2.20pm.

A police spokesman said: "It looks to be a minor injury collision involving three motorbikes on Leyland Road.

"The road is believed to be blocked."
