A woman had money stolen from out of her hands when she was robbed in a Wyre village.

The young woman was approached by a male at around 4.15pm on April 4, in the Square, Great Eccleston, close to Jay Cees off-licence.

PC Simon Jones said: “A young female was approached from behind by a male, who used force to steal money from her hands.”

The suspect is described as being in his late teens to early 20s, white, of stocky build and wearing a black hooded top and bottoms, and he had dark brown hair with a fringe brushed across his forehead.
