Refugees fleeing conflict around the world are heading for Lancashire in increasing numbers, attracted by the county’s friendly reputation, according to relief workers.

On top of almost 300 refugees from war-torn Syria, the county also has around 880 people seeking asylum after escaping strife in their homeland. Here some of the stories of Lancashire’s asylum seekers.
