Tallula, who last month competed as part of the Lancashire gymnastics team at the North West Grades Finals in Wigan, said: "I would like to be a good role model for any young girls to show that you can enjoy dressing up for occasions but still be sporty, scientific or anything else that you want to be.

"I am most looking forward to walking in the parade with my friends in the retinue and meeting all the other Rose Queens.

Tallulah was previously part of the retinue for former Rose Queen Abby Hesketh in 2014.
