Sun shines over beauty spots on clear winter day
A layer of frost covered the county yesterday morning as temperatures had dropped below freezing.
But it slowly started to melt as the sun shone and the skies became bright blue.

Hide AdIt marked a welcome relief from the heavy rain and strong winds that have battered Lancashire in a series of storms in recent months.
Evening Post senior photographer Neil Cross and head of multimedia images Iain Lynn headed to two beauty spots to capture these scenic images.
Iain saw the moon setting and the sun rising over Brockholes Nature Reserve, while Neil photographed the early morning frost at Longton Brickcroft Local Nature Reserve.
