Student grabbed and punched in '˜nasty' attack
The assault happened at about 4am on Friday, June 17, when the victim, a 20-year-old man, met a man and walked with him along Hazelrigg Lane in Lancaster.
Police said the man then grabbed the victim by the throat and punched him while a second man appeared on the pavement and shouted abuse at him.

Hide AdThe victim sustained swelling, bruising and scratches to his face.
The first man is described as white, between 6ft 1in and 6ft 2in tall, of stocky build, with blonde hair, in his early twenties, and wearing a dark hooded top and dark jeans.
He spoke with a North West accent and used the name of “Frankie”.
The second man is described as white, between 6ft 1in and 6ft 2in tall, of medium build with dark hair. He also had a North West accent.

Hide AdPC Adam Jussub of Lancaster Police said: “This was a nasty attack on the victim who appears to have been set up by these two men.
“If anyone recognises their descriptions or if they witnessed the incident itself and have any information that could assist us I would urge them to get in touch as soon as possible.”
