Special workshops will be held at the Journey Cafe at the Dukes Theatre in Lancaster for people with early stage memory problems or who are living with dementia and their carers or relatives.

The Telling Stories Workshops on January 20 are taster sessions and are a chance to evoke memories without any pressure or expectation to write or act and will be led by Steve Fairclough, an experienced writer and actor who has worked with communities, older people and those with learning disabilities.

Places at the workshops at 10.30am and 1.30pm are limited so booking is essential. Admission is £4 including tea/coffee and a pastry. A carer or family member goes free.

As part of this event, the Journey Cafe will take place in The Dukes foyer before and after the workshops where people have a chance to chat with representatives of Age UK Lancashire.
