People across Lancashire got into the Pudsey spirit yesterday for Children in Need, raising thousands of pounds for disadvantaged young people.
And one firm even enlisted the help of Britain’s Got Talent stars Stavros Flatley, who showed off their unique dance skills.
Envirocare, based in Leyland, staged a raffle in aid of the BBC charity as part of the company’s 10th anniversary celebrations.
Egged on by father and son duo Demetrios and Michalakis Lagi, who provided the entertainment at the firm’s annual awards evening, staff and guests raised £1,500 for Children in Need.
Dave Yates, one of Envirocare’s founding directors, said: “We wanted to mark our 10th anniversary celebrations by supporting a charity, and Children in Need seemed the obvious choice. It’s a cause everyone can relate to and we are proud to play our part.”
- Tuesday’s Evening Post will feature a two-page Children in Need picture special in our Charity Champions section. Send your photos with a few details to firstname.lastname@example.org.
