Something for everyone at pop-up event's return to city

ATTRACTIONS to keep all the family amused are being lined up for the return of Best of Britannia North to Preston.

Award-winning children’s author Christina Gabbitas – creator of the Felicity Fly book series – will be holding readings and signings all weekend in the former Preston Post Office on March 12 and 13.

And Colour Me Wild will be hosting pottery painting sessions – for young potters in the making.

BOB North promotes the best of British Manufacturers from across the North of England and beyond. Best of Britannia is supported by Creative Lancashire, Marketing Lancashire, Preston City Council and the University of Central Lancashire. It will be officially opened on Friday 11 March by Preston-born Matthew Wilcock, winner of the BBC’s Great Pottery Throw Down

Also taking part from across the Pennines will be a pop-up from vintage cycling Festival Eroica Britannia. Lancashire’s coolest, bike-bag makers Carradice return after a very successful inaugural BOBNorth in 2015.

The BOB team is also offering support to brands whose business and manufacturing has been adversely affected by the recent devastating floods.

And the University of Central Lancashire will be introducing some creative superstars of the future.

The first event was launched last year by Morecambe-born Wayne Hemingway.
