Sell-out success for Longton Live
“There was a huge response”, said Nigel Stewart, the man responsible for setting up the event, which saw 70 acts performing in 16 venues on Friday and Saturday night.
He added: “When it feels like society has been fractured and politicians are acting like children, it was so overwhelming to see such an outpouring from a community.
“There was no trouble and a great sense of togetherness.

Nigel, who is also the founder of Penwortham Live, Leyland Live and Chorley Live, through his Creative Network, paid tribute to a team of volunteers who made the event possible.
He said: “There were 50 volunteers who gave up six to 12 hours of their weekend to serve the community. It’s such a contract to everything else going on.”
