Two northern comedians are hoping to have audiences in stitches when they perform in Chorley.Award-winning Brennan Reece and supporting act Chris Washington will be at Chorley Little Theatre on Sunday March 12.With the title Everglow, the show will be based on Brennan’s humorous observations of growing up in the North, family and masculinity.It earned him the nomination at the 2016 Edinburgh Comedy Awards, along with rave reviews. Brennan most recently has been seen supporting Joe Lycett and Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) on their respective tours. He said: “I am influenced by things around me. I tend to be inspired by things my family do and what the general northern people say. It is about real life.“My one-hour show is about growing up in and around Manchester, navigating my way through adulthood.”Brennan first found his love for comedy five years ago when he signed up to an open mic night at The Frog and Bucket in Manchester.He said: “It was a hobby that got out of hand.“It is a fun job. I actually get paid for doing this and I get to make people laugh. I am also not very good at having a boss, so it is nice to be my own boss.”Brennan, who hails from Ashton-Under-Lyne, is already making waves on the British comedy circuit as he was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2016 Edinburgh Comedy Awards.The 30-year-old has also won English Comedian Of The Year 2015, and was also a finalist in the BBC Radio New Comedy Awards.Chris, from Leigh, began performing stand up comedy in 2012, and he is fast becoming one of the most sought after new acts on the circuit.He was Preston Frog and Bucket comedian of the Year in 2013 and he has performed at Edinburgh Fringe Festival.He describes his style as “quite relaxed story telling.”Everglow starts at 8pm on Sunday March 12.
