Police hope to reunite a haul of items believed to have been stolen with their owners.
A bag containing jeans, sunglasses, a backpack, a tablet device, a torch and a charging lead was seized following the arrest of three men and a woman at an address on Plungington Road in Preston on Sunday, January 3.
Three of them have since been charged with burglary-related offences and one with handling stolen goods.
Det Con Justin Singleton, from Preston CID, said: “It is really good news that we have been able to recover this haul.
“However we haven’t had any reports of these items being stolen so it could be that there are a number of victims out there who have also had property taken from their houses or cars on top of these.
“If you think any of the items could be yours, or you think you’ve potentially been a victim of a theft in the Plungington area, please let us know.”
Police are also trying to trace a man who could have information about a burglary in the same area that day.
Det Con Singleton added: “We think that a man, possibly in his 50s, may have seen two men being chased by another male at around 6am that morning.
“He will have been walking on Plungington Road in the direction of Blackpool Road and we are keen to speak to him as we think that this could be linked to a theft from a house on Boundary Road where televisions and electrical items were stolen.”
Anyone who can help, who recognises the stolen items or believes they may have been the victim of a burglary or theft is asked to call police on 01772 209754.
