S Club heaven for popstar Jo

Yates’s on Church Street will be hosting a DJ set by Jo on Friday at 10.30pm.

General manager of Yates’s, Chris Griffiths said: “This is Jo’s second performance at our bar.

“She last visited us in May and her set was so entertaining that we just had to book her again.”

The hour-long set will be followed by a meet and greet where fans will get the chance to take photos and chat to the star.

“Jo’s performance coincides with the start of our Halloween celebrations, which will run until November 2.

“We have already started decorating the bar and we will be offering a special, foaming cocktail which will be served in a mini cauldron,” added Chris.

The team will also be holding fancy dress competitions and encourage guests to show up in their scariest outfits!

S Club, formerly known as S Club 7, have produced four UK number 1 singles, nine top 10 singles, sold more than 10 million albums and were one of the biggest pop groups in the 90s with their own TV shows and spin offs.

As well as the popularity of their television series, S Club have also won two BRIT Awards – in 2000 for British breakthrough act and best British single in 2002.

In January 2007, O’Meara appeared on Celebrity Big Brother. Along with Jade Goody and Danielle Lloyd, O’Meara was accused of racist and bullying behaviour toward fellow contestant Indian actress Shilpa Shetty, resulting in a record number of complaints to OfCom.
