Rural raids alert as properties are hit in Chorley

Police in Chorley are warning homeowners to be on their guard following a number of burglaries in rural parts of the town.

There were three raids in the Brinscall and Withnell areas where offenders targeted garages and sheds.

On Dick Lane, Brinscall, a quantity of stone flags were stolen between January 21 and 22.

And on Windsor Drive, Brinscall, two sets of golf clubs and trollies were taken, along with a Trek bike, between January 22 and 23.

Meanwhile, a chainsaw was stolen from Hospital Cottages, Withnell, between January 18 and 25.

Residents have been asked to stay vigilant and to report anyone seen acting suspiciously, especially in the early hours of the morning.
