Ribchester set to stage a return of popular music and drama festival

RibFest is back for 2017! - The team organising last year's successful event says it is delighted to inform '˜friends, supporters, sponsors and all local culture vultures' that the dates for this year are July 17-23.

“It’s the same week as last year,” a spokesperson confirmed. “With events taking place throughout the week and at various venues in the village. We are confirming bookings of performers right now and will give everyone a sneak preview shortly.”

Ribchester Amateur Theatrical Society will be performing their popular ‘Promenade Play’ and Ribcaged will be premiere its version of ‘Around the World in Eighty Days,’ adapted and directed by Owen Phillips.

There will be classical concerts with musicians from The Royal Northern College of Music; folk, jazz and swing and an emphasis on local talent.
