A total of 270 new homes are set for Lancashire, bringing significant community benefits, as Redrow prepares to launch two new developments this Saturday, October 21.

The Chorley-based housebuilder is inviting home hunters to Oldfield Park, in Poulton-le-Fylde, and Tabley Green, in Fulwood, Preston, where they can view the new show homes and sample the lifestyle on offer over the launch weekend.

A collection of three and four-bedroom homes from Redrow’s Arts and Crafts inspired Heritage Collection will initially go on sale at Oldfield Park on October 21.

In total, Redrow is building 100 new homes at the 12-acre venture off Carr Head Lane, in Poulton, including 30 affordable homes, some of which will be sold at less than market value through Redrow’s ‘Advantage’ scheme.

The development will also feature green open spaces, a play area and a landscaped pond and Redrow has contributed towards junction improvements at Hardhorn Road.

At Tabley Green, in Fulwood, Redrow will also be releasing the first three and four-bedroom properties from its Heritage Collection over the launch weekend.

This new community will eventually boast a total of 170 homes, which are being built next to the housebuilder’s existing and highly successful Daleside Meadows venture.

As well as three and four-bedroom private sale properties, mostly detached, the Fulwood development will feature 30% affordable homes, again including properties that will be sold under Redrow’s ‘Advantage’ umbrella.

The scheme gives those with local connections priority to buy at a discounted price, which then stays with the property in perpetuity.

The new Fulwood development will feature public open spaces, a children’s play area and a landscaped attenuation pond alongside its homes.

While would-be homeowners eagerly anticipate the launch events, those already living in the local area can look forward to an economic boost in the form of support for more than1,000 jobs.

Research by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) shows that for every new home built in the UK circa 4.3 jobs are supported, including direct and on-site employment, indirect employment within the supply chain and jobs supported by the wage spending of construction and supply chain workers in the loacl area.
