Proposals for 139 homes at former Ribbleton Hospital site sent to planners

Proposals for 139 homes at the land where Ribbleton Hospital used to stand have now been sent to planners.

Applicant Homes England revealed the plans for the 3.6ha site at a public consultation this Autumn.

Now the formal application has been submitted to Preston City Council for approval.

Two access points to the development have been proposed by Homes England, one via Miller Road and another from Sandy Croft.

A minimum of 0.18ha of green space is also laid out for the scheme.

The development will bring 42 affordable houses to the area.

The masterplan illustrative is made up of a mix of two-storey two, three and four bedroom houses and one three-storey block of one and two bedroom apartments.
