Preston motorcyclist dies in Yorkshire crash

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident near Long Preston, which involved a grey Toyota Yaris and a white Suzuki GSR 750 motorbike. It happened on the A682 near the junction with the A65 at 2pm on Saturday.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said the motorcyclist died at the scene. The occupants of the car were uninjured.

Officers are now keen to trace a van believed to be a Ford Transit Luton, which stopped at the scene, as they believe the driver may have information which will assist the investigation.
