Preston man who went missing for nearly one week found 'safe and well'

An urgent appeal was launched to find a missing Preston man who had not been seen for nearly a week.

Ashley Carlton, 37, had last been seen outside the French Connection shop in Preston on June 23, according to police.

He had not been seen since his disappearance and police were growing "extremely concerned" for his welfare.

Officers launched an appeal to find him earlier today (June 29), and they have now confirmed he has been found "safe and well".

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "Further to our earlier appeal, Ashley Carlton, 37, has now been located safe and well in the Preston area."
