Preston gears up for Pedalfest

CELEBRATE the start of the summer holidays with Preston PedalFest on July 24 from 11am to 4pm.

At the event in Avenham Park and Miller Park, there will be cycling and non-cycling based activities for all the family, including a climbing tower, a smoothie bike, a pump cycle track, rides and live music.

Cycling experts will also be on hand to answer any mechanical questions on bicycles visitors have.

From noon until 1pm there will be Go Ride Fun races costing £1 to enter and from 2pm, a four mile River Ribble Ride will set off. The route will be traffic-free, but guests own bikes are required.

Guests are warned though that reduced activities will be available between 10am and 11am while riders arrive.

The event is hosted by Preston City Council in partnership with Epic Events and will be delivered along side the Preston PedalFest Cycle Sportive.
