A sight loss charity based in Preston is urging people to trek the Great Wall of China in aid of the charity.

To celebrate Chinese New Year, Galloway’s are keen to recruit some local champions to take on this challenge of a lifetime in support of their work.

Emma Russ, senior fundraiser at Galloway’s, said: “Every year people make New Year’s resolutions to keep fit and spend more time with my family and every year people never stick to them.

“We want to give people something to work towards, but giving them an opportunity of a life time too. For a country with the biggest population in the world, China remains largely untouched by the West and this is a great opportunity to discover its hidden charms”

“We’ll support our trekkers every single step of the way with training, advice and fundraising too, giving people the tools and help they need to make the most of this adventure.”

Join Galloway’s from September 10 to September 19 and help the local sight loss charity to support more blind and partially sighted people live more independently and with the same opportunities that the sighted world often take for granted.

Places are limited, It costs £349 to register and secure your place and the minimum fundraising target is £2,800.
