City-centre apartments look set to be created in Preston after plans were recommended for approval.
Forshaw Land and Property Group applied to Preston Council to convert part of a Lune Street office building into 20 studio apartments, and officers have now recommended the plans for the green light.
Developers want to convert the first to fourth floors of the building into one-bedroomed apartments.
A report to councillors, to be discussed next week, said: “No objections have been received to the proposed development.
“The proposed development is acceptable and would not have any undue impacts upon residential amenity or the conservation area.”
The site is a five-storey building in the centre of Preston, of which the ground floor is currently a betting office, with the upper floors formerly used as offices.
