Joshua Danson, 22, from the Larches estate in Preston has now qualified as a submariner, having recently returned from Royal Navy Operations on a UK Nuclear Submarine.

Josh who joined the Royal Navy in 2017, is a chef and as well training to be a submariner he also single handedly prepares breakfast for 165 male and female sailors in a galley the size of a small family kitchen.

PNE fan Josh, pictured here with his crewmate David McNamara from Grimsargh, was welcomed back by his

mum and dad who travelled up to Faslane in Scotland to welcome him home.
