Public meeting to be held over Penwortham's 1,100-home Pickering's Farm development

Residents are being given the chance to voice their views on a controversial masterplan for up to 1,100 new homes in Penwortham.

The public meeting comes in the final week of a consultation for The Lanes, plans for a mixed-use development at a site known as Pickering's Farm.

Proposals from housing agency Homes England and house builder Taylor Wimpey are before planners at the authority for approval.

If residents don’t get the chance to attend the meeting, they can also email their thoughts to the council at [email protected] by March 1. The meeting takes place at the Civic Centre on Thursday, February 27 at 6pm.
