For the Leave campaign then James Barker, UKIP parliamentary candidate for Preston and independent councillor Adrian Owens from Better Off Out will make their case.

The audience will also have a chance to ask questions at the event, to be held at the Mitchell and Kenyon cinema at UCLan’s Foster building at 7pm on Thursday.

Blog Preston editor Ed Walker, who will chair the debate, said: “We’ve seen Ed Miliband and Boris Johnson visit Preston in recent weeks to give their views on the EU Referendum but where do Prestonians stand?

“This debate gives the city a chance to ask questions of each side in a Question Time style format and should hopefully help those who are undecided to make up their minds.
