Police release CCTV of suspects in £8,000 power tools theft in Forton

Police have released CCTV images of two men after more than £8,000 worth of power tools were stolen from a machinery shop in Forton, near Lancaster.

The burglary took place between 2am and 3am on Tuesday 30 December at Armstrongs Garden Machinery on Wallace Lane.

Two offenders forced entry into the premises and stole chainsaws and power tools from inside.

They then loaded the tools on to a vehicle which was parked in a rear field before making off undetected.

PC Matt Butcher of Garstang Police said: “I would urge anyone who recognises the men pictured in the CCTV images to contact us.

“Similarly, if anyone has any information about the burglary or saw any suspicious activity in the surrounding area I would appeal to them to get in touch.”
