Police investigate suspicious car fire on an Ingol driveway

Police are investigating a fire which engulfed a car parked in a driveway in Ingol yesterday (Tuesday, December 29).

A joint police and fire investigation is now underway to establish exactly how the car caught alight in a driveway in Tag Croft at 5pm.

The fire service reported the incident, just off Tanterton Hall Road, to Lancashire Police after an initial investigation deemed the cause to be suspicious.

One fire engine from Fulwood was called to the blaze, with firefighters quipped with breathing apparatus tackling the flames with a jet hose.
