"At this stage there’s been no mention of a cause, except to say that the fire is being investigated jointly between ourselves and Lancashire Police."

The new eyelash and brow specialist had only opened in Lane Ends on Monday (March 9), but its owner has been forced close today for repairs.

Imogen Southwood, owner and manager, said: "Luckily, no one was hurt and the damage was mainly in one room. The rest is just smoke damage."
