Police in missing man appeal

Police are appealing for information after a man went missing from an address in Lancaster.

Gary Lane, 45, returned from a holiday in St Lucia on Wednesday June 18 and stayed at a friend’s house at Hoghton Close, Lancaster that night. He left the address in the early hours of Thursday morning, leaving his clothes and mobile phone behind.

It is thought that Mr Lane, from Cumbria, then went on to Glasgow, possibly staying at a Premier Inn on West Nile Street in the city centre between June 19 and 21. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Insp Dave Vickers from Lancaster Police said: “If anyone has seen Mr Lane I would urge them to get in touch.

“Gary’s friends and family haven’t heard from him since Wednesday night and they just want to know that he is okay.Similarly, Gary, if you are reading this appeal, please get in contact with police.” Anyone with information can contact police on 101.

Mr Lane has been described as white, 5ft 11ins, medium build, with a north west English accent, brown eyes and dark brown hair.
