Police gallop to scene after horse alert
A runaway horse caused concern for motorists on a busy Lancashire road this afternoon.
Police were called by anxious drivers after a horse was seen running across the A59 near BAE Systems at Samlesbury.
A Lancashire police spokesman confirmed that officers had attended the scene.
It is not known whether they had seen or cornered the horse.
Motorists had raised the alarm, saying the traffic was busy and they feared an accident would be caused.
